Job Description:

Career Counselors are responsible for supporting clients with different abilities gain employment. Career Counselors develop working relationships with clients to build interview skills and develop resumes. Make a difference in people’s lives by matching clients to positions that they will be successful in and support their career goals, offering emotional support, and advocating for clients with potential employers. We support employers in their quest for diverse and inclusive work teams.

Student Services Counselors will support students with Job Exploration, Postsecondary Counseling, Workplace Readiness Training, and Self-Advocacy.

This position is ideal for recruiters, career professionals, HR professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Provide support to clients with various disabilities and interpretation needs, including developing respectful, ethical, and positive professional relationships with clients and providing constructive feedback as needed

· Complete required documentation and keep records pertaining to clients’ work history and job goals to use as career development materials

· Conduct job searches with or on the behalf of clients

· Actively engage with and provide guidance to clients throughout the job search process

· Provide information regarding resources, opportunities, and assistance available to clients

· Work with clients to develop resumes and fill out job applications

· Work with clients to develop skills in interviewing, interpersonal interaction, and technology

· Complete monthly required reports to be submitted to applicable leadership and ensure that client records are properly secured and remain confidential

· Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 5 clients

· Comply with all state Department of Rehabilitation regulations and Trends policies and procedures

· Attend company trainings in person or digitally

· Communicate and work cooperatively with colleagues regarding client progress

· Promote the core values of Trends as a workplace of dignity, quality, and respect

· Ensure clients attend Jumpstart 2 Jobs, Trends job club for career search and development

· Meet clients via Zoom or MS Teams, phone, text, email and in person as per Trends expectations

Qualifications:

· Ability to pass Live Scan

· Degree in psychology, business, sociology, or related field preferred

· 5+ years staffing, recruiting, HR or related experience

· Education or experience working with diverse populations including people with disabilities and/or interpreting needs preferred

· ASL and Spanish language interpreting a plus

· Driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle or reliable access to transportation

· Written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work with MS Word/Excel

· Proficiency in using Zoom or MS Teams

Job Description:

Job Coaches are responsible for supporting clients with a disability at a work site with the purpose of allowing them to become as independently successful as possible through on-the-job training during the onboarding process. Job Coaches develop working relationships with employers and clients to encourage the success of the client in their career. Make a difference in people’s lives by assisting the client in learning their job duties, offer emotional support, and advocating for the client with their employer. This position is ideal for job seekers reentering the workforce or pursuing part-time work. It requires a flexible schedule subject to the work schedule of the client, including evenings and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•                     • Provide support to clients with various disabilities and interpretation needs, including developing respectful, ethical, and positive professional relationships with clients and providing constructive feedback as needed

•                     • Observe and assess clients’ skills to ensure that the client meets the job requirements and identify and make recommendations to address learning needs

•                     • Ensure clients’ safety by following employer’s safety policies and advocate for accommodations as needed

•                     • Complete regular reports to be submitted to Career Counselors and ensure that client records are properly secured and remain confidential

•                     • Complete accurate timesheets as a record of services provided and verification for compensation

•                     • Comply with all state Department of Rehabilitation regulations and workABLE policies and procedures

•                     • Attend company trainings in person or virtually

•                     • Promote the core values of workABLE as a workplace of dignity, quality, and respect

Qualifications:

•                     • Ability to pass Live Scan

•                     • Driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle or reliable access to transportation

                       • Flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend shifts on short notice

•                     • High School Diploma or GED required

•                     • Education or experience working with diverse populations including people with disabilities and/or interpreting needs preferred

•                     • Basic understanding of workplace accommodations preferred

•                     • Written and verbal communication skills

•                     • Ability to work with MS Word/Excel
